How to survive in rapid technological change

To survive in today’s world of rapid technological change one must be able to adapt at the same speed; that consists of keeping up on the current technology—if one fails to keep up it will be considerably harder and more time consuming to adapt when the next technology surfaces.

What one thing would I change about my writing

If I could change one thing about my writing, I would like to make my papers more stylistic; although I can hash out a fairly decent paper, I always feel like to don’t include any of myself in the papers therefore they end up sounding robotic.

YouTube

YouTube will continue to give students a sense of community and belonging as they are given a window into people’s lives and groups otherwise unknown to them; from a stupid video in the dorm, to the game winning touchdown, to the state street rally after Obama won, students are getting a view into everyone’s life.

How did I learn to write?

I learned to write in what I would call a traditional way: classroom assignments. Grade school and high school offered me limited writing experiences. Although we wrote many papers, more often than not, we were on our own going through the drafting and reviewing steps. However, once in college, my writing skills increased since we were forced to hand in drafts and there were specific days dedicated to peer reviewing.

Despite being forced to follow the writing process, I’m still not very confident in my writing skills – especially when the topic is of zero interest to me. When the topic is interesting, I have no problem spitting out a first draft. On the contrary, I struggle to write on a topic of no interest and I usually end up feeling like my draft is very basic and has no sense of myself in it.
